Babysitting
Maymist Safaris offers a child care service, where babysitters will attend to your children during meals and game drives, etc. Please notify your camp manager should you require the above-mentioned service. The standard fee for babysitting is R30 per child an hour.
Car Hire
We can gladly arrange this service from an outside car hire company if you so wish. Please consult your camp manager for assistance

Summer rainfall region, generally hot in summer. Thunderstorms often occur in the late afternoon, but do not last long. Winters are dry, with cold nights and early mornings.
Converters/ Adapters
All electrical outlets provide 220 volts, alternating current 50 (Hz). .
Departure
We kindly request that accommodations be vacated by 11:00 on the morning of departure. This will enable us to prepare rooms for incoming guests. In the event of guests departing by any means other than own transport, you will be advised of your departure time on the morning of departure. Should you wish to know sooner, please feel free to ask.
Indemnity
It is very important that all Maymist Safaris guests complete our registration forms upon arrival. There is also an indemnity section on this form where we require your signature. If for some unknown reason you didn’t get to complete the above, please consult your camp manager.
Laundry Service
A complimentary laundry service is provided for all Maymist Safaris Guests. It is important to note that whilst every care is taken, we accept no responsibility for loss or damage to any guest clothing. If you wish to make use of the above mentioned service, we kindly request that you complete the list provided and place your clothing in the basket on your bed before 08:00. Weather permitting, we will return your clothing by the time you arrive back from your afternoon Game Viewing Activity. A dry cleaning service is not available and we appreciate your co-operation in refraining from sending in these sensitive items of clothing.

Lost / Found Property
Please contact your camp manager in the event of having misplaced or found any personal property. The lodge does not accept any responsibility for damaged, lost or missing items.
Medical Attention
Please notify your camp manager or ranger immediately if you require professional medical attention. We will then assist you by arranging transport to Louis Trichardt (local town about half hour drive away), where our nearest local doctor is situated. In the event of a medical crisis we have crew that are trained in basic first aid and we are also linked to MRI (Medical Rescue International) to make emergency evacuations and airlifts possible. Having your medical insurance details on hand will increase the efficiency of the above-mentioned emergency services.
Payment
Cash. Personal cheques can only be accepted by prior arrangement
Power Failure
From time to time the bush gets the better of us and the electricity supply goes down. If this should happen, you will find a candle and matches in your bathroom. The need for candles should not last long as power failure usually last only 2-3 hours.
Private Land Cruiser
Subject to availability and given prior notice, this service can be provided. Our rangers cannot always dedicate as much time as you might like on a specific topic. Should you desire a private game-viewing vehicle to enhance your safari, we will try our best to arrange this for you.
Our fee is R1500 (includes two game drives), per day.
Room amenities
A full range of guest amenities is available in your bathroom for you to use during your stay. Hairdryers and bathrobes are available in all the rooms for the guests’ use.
If you would like to purchase any of the amenities like, shampoo, conditioner, bathrobes, etc. please speak to your camp manager who will gladly arrange this for you.
Security
At Maymist Safaris, all our guest camps are unfenced, so as to not restrict movement or natural behavior of the animals. During daylight or nightly hours you are free to walk on the pathways provided in camp and do not need to be escorted. Please contact your camp manager or ranger for assistance.
Special Occasions
We kindly request that you contact your camp manager in connection with special celebrations of any kind, so that champagne, birthday cakes, etc. can be arranged.
Swimming Pool
We kindly ask you that children use swimming pool only at adults supervision. Swimming pool can be used night or day. Please confirm with manager to put on the lights when swimming in night time.
